Dear All,
I have got 2 P990 phones yesterday and very unsure as to how to transfer the contacts to P990 from P910 and Nokia 6681. I have 1100 contacts in P910 and around 2000 contacts in Nokia 6681. While transfering phone contacts from Nokia If I mark all contacts then I do not get send option. However, if I mark only one contact I am able to send the same via bluetooth. Can someone please let me know how to do the same without marking one contact at a time and sending the same to P990. Also any tips on how to send the contact from P910 to P990.

Reply from you will be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Andy

Hi Andy, I also faced the problem transfering contacts from a Nokia to a Sony Ericsson for a friend. I sent one by one that time because there were not many contacts. Would say that the right way should be sync them via Outlook or maybe a third party synch service. Transfering from a P910 to a P990 should not be difficult. Regards

Transferring contacts from P910 t0 P990:

- Go to contacts
- Click on contacts on the menu bar and then click on contacts manager
- Select contacts u wanna transfer
- Select send

Dont have much idea about nokia's but I think there must be a contacts manager option as well...

Connect 6681 and P910i to the computer and synchronize them. You will now have all the contacts from 6681 and P910i on your computer. Then connect the P990i to the computer. Do the same, and you get all the contacts from the computer on the P990i!

hgautam: You can only transfer one and one contact at the time from P910i to P990i. Have P900, P910i and P990i. Have never been allowed to transfer more than one contact at the time

Not true! I also have a P900, a P910i and a P990i and I transfered all my contacts from the P900 to the P910i and recently all my contacts from the P910i to the P990i. Both times, I did it in one shot.

The option is there for sure!

What? I had the same problem, and couldn't transfer more than one contact at the time. Could it be FW related, or doesn't I remember that it's possible to transfer more than one contact at the time? I have ooooold FW in both phones

Same here. From P910i to M600i in one shot thru BT. Or you can do it when syncing with P.C. With Nokia is harder cuz it runs a different type of Symbian. I think you should back it up withOutlook and from there to P990i. It will end up messed up (if you have 5 numbers under one name it'll copy it 5 times in the phone) but at least it's easier to clean up than to write 'em all up again.

From P900 to P990: go to Contacts menu of Contacts Application and choose "Send this folder", then you can send all contacts via Bluetooth, Infrared,...

I'm pretty sure that this option (Send this folder) exists on P910 too!

You can do either one by one or all.
