Hello.
My P990i has stopped showing the message icon on my screen when I receive a SMS.
It has always done this right up until today.
I am using my phone with the flap removed.
Does anyone know why this has happened and how I can rectify it?

Battery out restart
Battery out restart with different sim that you then send a message too,
Master reset (be aware of any data you might lose in callender, notes, ETC put as much on memorycard, save contacts & old messsages to sim first)

Have you tried just a simple restart? I have the same problem, and when I get the problem, I restart the phone. It works. I don't see why I should take a master reset

Bizarre, restart did nothing, then the phone crashed and after the second restart all is fine.
