Hi all,
My bro has just come into my room all stressed out. Basically, he dropped his brand new (he got if for Christmas) W850 onto the floor and has cracked the plastic cover of the screen.

The screen itself is operating fine underneath the cracks, so I believe the damage is solely superficial. None the less, the plastic screen cover has lost a lot of its strength so the phone can't really be placed in a pocket or whatever until this is repaired.

I'm just wondering what options he's got? As a family we've never had to get a phone repaired. Can we drop it into a high street shop (eg I believe CPW in Manchester has a repair centre), or do you suggest mailing it off? Is it necessary to find a SE Service Centre (such as the ones here: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=579256)? Is self-repair feasible, and where could I find parts? What rough kind of figure will it cost to put this right?

Error on the link.Anyway,take it to a service centre and see what they say.And when it`s fixed,get a case.
