was in alicante today in the large deparment stores, and was casually browsing contemplating buying a xbox 360 to play with for a couple of days before I return home. Then around the display where all the game stuff was were 5 large boxes all stakced up and I didnt really think much of it.
As I was killing some time I kept on walking past these boxes and then one of the sales staff opened one up and I saw a flash of white, I thought, wtf? She then whipped out a gleaming white box with wii on the side and I though f**k yeh wii's.
From that moment I was worried all these were preorders, but after waiting 5 min for another guy to get served I attempted to aks the sales staff if they had any wii's and she said ci (which means yes in spannish - for those who don't speak spannish)
I then got the price and she said to me €250 whcih was bloody cheap, because of that I bought 2 of them.
I nopw have 2 wii's on me and I don't really know what to do with them, I was the second customer in that day to get one from the shop and considering this is a big one I was surprised they only had 15 units come in. After looking at the exchange rate it also seems I got a very good deal as in the uk they sell for £180 but I paid about £170 and it comes with a 2 year warrenty!!!
im rather happy now, not realy sure why, but I think I will enjoy playing on one of them

i ordered a wii today, quite a few places in UK got stock today, comet had stock if you phoned up until about half 11, john lewis online got stock for about 5 mins, simply games got bundle stock for most of the day but £238 with one game so quite expensive and then blahdvd.com got bundles at retail price of £216 and i bagged one! wooo

walking around Sydney shops in the last few days there seems to be a good supply of stock and they are going for $399 aussie which is about £160
the discount shops are all sold out though, not surprisingly.
I've tried to get my kids interested into this one, partly because they have had all the previous nintendo's but mostly because of the active side of this game playing... unfortunately they're hanging out for the ps3
