you cannot use a dcu-60 with your k700. your k700 is not fast port.

I use have one DCU11 converted to DCU60 which I use to repair my phone if I mess it up. It connects to FAR without any single problem and recognizes the phone even if it is dead. I flashed the EROM twice with that . Have you Flash Drivers installed on your PC to connect with FAR?

Well the flash drivers including the converting guide can be found here:

http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=3360&hl=dcu+11

but when you convert it it cannot be used for transfering data like music, videos, pictures or etc... It can be only used as service cable, and as you mentioned you need to connect to FAR it will work for sure if you make it EXACT as there is said. I've made one of myself and it works.

I thought I helped you here dude:

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=138144#post1858835

It contains everything about FAR, flashing and etc... A detalied guide.

P.S. The flash driver is software (driver for windows), which allows you to break into the phone filesystem. Read the manual I wrote, you'll understand for sure.

Actually if you are using K700 or any other phone that is not fastport (have the new type of connector) you do not need to break the cable. As you said you have K700, just leave the cable as it is and start installing Flash drivers.
