> DCU-60 driver/software confusion
Bookmark topic
I've just bought a Sony Ericsson DCU-60 (USB cable) to connect my Z-550i phone and was hoping to update the phone's firmware using Wotan server (http://www.wotanserver.com/).
But I can't figure out how to install the drivers or any necessary software to get it working. I'm using Windows ME, and have downloaded the "DCU-60 USB Flash driver", but it doesn't seem to be recognizable when trying to install it. Either that or I'm doing something wrong.
Actually, I'm not quite sure what I need in order to get the cable working with my phone, both for normal file-transfers and for the connection to Wotan-server.
Can someone please clear up the confusion?

hi HAL and welcome to ESATO. i don't know if your Z works as my k750. just plug your Z to the cable and the cable to the computer, it will automatically recognize that the device was connected. when the ADD NEW HARDWARE WIZARD starts you just have to cancel it. the device will install itself automatically. in case it won't do it, use the CD that came with your phone.

I think wotanserver support only Win XP. You must have phone off, press and keep pressed C key on phone and connect phone to computer. Once new hw wizard windows shows up you can release C key.
