Hi!
I have a little issue with my w300i phone. When I transfer .jar games, or .jar applications from my PC to my cellular using Sony Ericsson's File Manager, it automatically installs the game to the phone's memory, which is only about 32mb or something. I want to install it to the memory stick, which is 256mb.. Is there a way to do so?
Also, I've seen, on another w300i phone, that when you transfer files from the PC to the phone, it doesn't prompt you to accept the file or not. That would save me a lot of time when transferring loads of files at once. How?
I'd appreciate it aLOT if anyone could help me out, I've been trying to solve this myself for ages now
Thanks!
Peter

Just copy or move those to the card later, notice that the logs stay in the fone

Yea, but then I have to move one and one to the memory stick, since the games and applications cannot be accessed from the File Manager..

You could try downloading them directly to the msd on your pc, if you have a card reader, or send them via bt, if your pc has a dongle.

this is what i do:
in case of cable connection:
- plug your cable to the pc
- plug your phone to the cable
- once you got it done, go to my pc or whatever OS you have and then go to the memory stick. then get to others folder and place the .jar file in there.
then in the file manager, go to others and you;ll be able to install it on your phone and will be able to send it via IR or BT

Just dump the JAD/JAR in a folder in 'others'... I do this by either using a card reader or Bluetooth/OBEX. The file manager will give you an 'install' option...
