Hello

I was hoping that one of the Scandinavian chaps might be able to help me with a language question. In the name 'Žorvaldsson' how would one pronounce the first letter?

Is it pronounced as 'th', as in 'Thorvaldsson'?

Mind you; it's not pronounced "th" as you would say it in English, you'd pronounce it as Torvadson.
Oh, by the way... It's an Icelandic name.

@tranquil

So it's a hard 't' then?

I thought it was Norwegian because it was the name of an agent of a Norwegian king. However, he was operating in Iceland, so I take it he was Icelandic then since his name is Icelandic.
