Right I have/gettiing a xbox 360, its a pal uk version and I want some games, but I can get these games cheaper if I buy them from the usa which uses nstc standard.

My question is will my uk xbox 360 play these games fine? I have a felling it will, also I play them on a dell monitor, not a normal tv.

a aimpler way to put this is if I bought US or Asian games would they work on a UK Xbox

ppl need to call it "Region" not ntc/pal seeing as it doesnt actually follow them rules

anyway to your question, xbox 360 is not totally region locked. Some game devs region lock their games some dont e.g. you can buy the Call of duty 3 from http://www.play-asia.com for only £28 it is region works on all regions of xbox 360's

Rainbow six vegas is also region free

thats what I was looking at

also I believe nstc and pal do make a difference as pal is uk tv standard, whereas nstc is us tv standard, this came before reigions btu is still inplace when talking about tv hardware etc...

the one thing doesnt asia/japan use the same reigion as the UK? In theory making them work on uk xboxes?

no hence asia games have to be region free to work on euro xbox 360s hence me saying it shouldnt be called pal/ntcs any more lol

pretty much all ntsc/J and ntsc/A games are region locked...A few Pal and NTSC/U games are region free...
