Hi, I'm from Holland , I got a k800i from Vodafone, with firmware R1ED001 and I'd like to set in this one R1GB001, using Sony Ericsson Update Service , if I do, can I get trouble with Voda if my phone needs repair?
Pls. Let me know before I do this

is the new firmware really better?

You can only update your branded phone, when there's a new Voda version. When there isn't, SEUS will give you the message, that you already have the latest version.
This message was posted from a K700i

but if u upgrade it wiht a generic fw, it could happen, that the warranty is over. actually its up to vodafone and their service, how they behave if sg goes wrong and your fone isnt branded anymore
