Intel 965 based motherboards should support them. (I haven't checked the link yet) its a bit pointless buying them right now even if you're a hardcore gamer. Thats because no games of today are designed to take use of quad cores. There is only marginal increase in frame rates compared to the next best dual core intel processor available.

Those Quad-Core processors are mainly targeted at Servers if I'm not mistaken. Should be really dear though. Even a Intel Core 2 Extreme is a lot for a home PC and it isn't cheap at around £800. The Intel Core 2 Duo is a better choice for home and the prices aren't as steep although there are many different options.
