> W900 Housing - Please help if you can!
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I used to have a W900, black, Sim Free which I foolishly sold to get money for the P990i.
After realising my mistake I went to "re-buy" another W900, only to find out that the black has been discontinued and that only Vodafone branded ones are available!
I have seen that Da Vinci Team offer debranding of these, which is fine. However, I would also want to change the housing to black.
I've seen these on eBay without the keypads, but it doesn't mention coming with any tools, and no instructions. Does anyone know if there is a guide online of how to remove the casing, etc from a W900 and replace it?
Any help would be fantastic!

@Residentevil
Thanks for that link. The exchange rate is very competitive at the moment too so that price isn't at all bad.
Can 't seem to find a housing changing guide but according to some it is pretty straight forward.

I hope so, as I'm not very technically minded! lol
The housing I have ordered comes with a T6 screwdriver, so at least thats a start. Guess I'll just have to keep searching online!

I reckon it would be easier than changing the S700i cover I did once as the W900i has no lens cover.
Look out for the realignment of the phone lock switch - thats the only thing I can imagine that you 'might' have some difficulty with.
(btw - did your housing come with a black phone lock and volume control buttons? )
Also, pay attention to how the screen main connectors are fastened although I think they may be colour-coded so that shouldn't be a problem.
