Hi,
My first post

elo all...!
I consider myself technical, but i'm getting a headache! lol, How do i get me 02 mobile phone - in Ireland, online?? I intend on doing it for free (always a way), but will consider paying to see it work, just want to understand whats wrong.
The phone is recognised, i can add/delete from phone memory, via data cable. I have it setup to use local dial up, the screen pops up to dial then quickly goes away(on mobilephone).. and the says on pc after a few moments, couldn't connect.. yada yada..
I have the modem selected (mobile phone), all is fine. But anyone have any idea how to get me online?
Does the gprs cost money per min, page or data?? I'm at the mo trying to get on with a normal dial up. It will charge me, but I just wana see it work!
Any help would greatly help
Happy new year to one and all

Well... As I haven't used SE's awful (oops...) pc-suite in "ages", I cannot help you re. connection - though your laptop should recognise the phone as a modem??? Anyhoo, o2 Ireland will charge you just as they would charge you to use phone's browser, i.e. ?0.02/kb on speakeasy or whatever monthly data tariff you have (I don't "do" contracts...)... But consider that your phone's wap browser or opera mini drastically compress websites etc... So, checking bbc news on your phone may only cost a few cent. But to get it to laptop format requires a lot more data... You'll pay more. I use my e61 a lot as a modem on vodafone ireland ready-to-go - at ?2.00/mb it's insignificant for simple browsing but forget youtube or any picture-heavy sites... Remember, that's ?2/mb, O2 prepay is ?10/mb!!!...
Sorry I can't be of more help... But I do love nokia's pc-suite a bit more now... o2 ireland, aren't they great!
