I am thinking about getting a game console but would like a portable one as I have to travel extensively for my company. How good is the PSP what are its bad points? does it have any internal storage or does it rely upon using Duo Pro cards? is there a good range of games available?

Bad:
Games are pretty rubbish (all of them even the GTA's), it needs duo's for storage

Good:
Makes an excellent portable video player (only reason i still use mine).

Well thats my thoughts

PSP overall is a good device. You'll get atleast 6-5hrs of usage.. but depends greatly of wat u use it for.. games n videos will shorten batt life by an hour or so.

I use my PSP now mostly for music & videos.. games hype goes off easily & not much good games..

So at the end of the day.. the PSP is a great video player, as listening music now is played using my ipod shuffle. But if ur a gamer.. it is a Great device..

the psp does make a good video player. But what you takin about the games are imense! i have both GTA games and in terms of game play and story line they are no different to the ps2 games. The graphics on the psp are amazing! much better than the ds. The graphics come close to matching the graphics of a ps2. i have had mine over a year and still play on it regulary. The games are just as good as for the ps2. You dont need to worry about the memory as it comes supplied with a memory card, but if you want to use it for homebrew wivdeos and musci a higher memory card like 1 or 2 gig is needed. I have both the ds and psp. The psp is muuucchh better, even though the ds it very good. They're just my opinions

@Ph4z3r
Hi as I assume asking for the "older Version" will not help me much with the slack jawed youths "serving" in Game or one of the other high street stores, how do I establish what is and what is not an "Older version" PSP please? and what is "homebrew"

hmm to be honest it would be best to buy off ebay,
quite a lot can now be used for homebrew but it would be best to get a psp with firmware 1/1.5/2/2.01
lol

Of course it's good, in fact it's great. Though many owners say they have been let down by the game library for it, but I'd say there was enough to keep me entertained. Also, it's quite a battery muncher though. PSP obviously has the better graphical power and also the video abilities.

Personally I'd rather a DS Lite, and yes I have one, a lovely shiny black one. The games I have are New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS, Yoshi's Island DS, Sonic Rush and Final Fantasy III. And they're all great fun. But yeah sorry, I'm rather going of topic. If you want the internet and music abilities, there is now the Browser and MP3 player that you can buy.
