Hi,

I'm looking for a bit of advice.

I've just purchased a Vodafone branded W900. I'm on Vodafone myself, so I'm not too worried about it being locked.

However, I want to debrand the software so it's the original SE firmware, menus, etc. I've downloaded the client for Da Vinci Team, but not sure what firmware to go for. I am in the UK, if that makes any difference.

Also, once I have flashed it with the new firmware, does that mean I'll be able to use SEUS to update in the future, or will it try and put the Vodafone firmware back on there if I try and use that?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Its the Europe 2 firmware you need

It might be labelled for germany (as it is in wotan) but aslong as its Europe 2 and has The english language it should work

Well my w900 worked ok after it!

P.S There is a chance of bricking your phone if you dont take in all the instructions, also wotan is a few quid cheaper

Cool, thanks for that. I unbranded my old S700 without any problems, so touch wood it should be ok this time with the W900.

Does anyone know what version number/firmware number I need?

And also, does anyone know if this would allow me to use SEUS or whether SEUS would try and put the Vodafone firmware back on?

Thanks

I wouldn't worry too much about being able to use SEUS after debranding the phone. I highly doubt SE will ever release another firmware for the W900i having just about abandoned it.

I've got a Vodafone branded W810. Dont think it's bad at all. I like the look of the battery meter and signal bars more than the original SE ones.
