> Trying to get Orange to replace my phone
Bookmark topic
Hi,
Well from previous threads you may of noticed that i have a dot in my pictures which turns out to be dust and on the first day i broke my flip replacement cover. What happened is the screw wouldn't go into the thread and it broke. So i have tried to contact orange, i spent an hour on the phone this afternoon while being on hold and in the end i put the phone down because i was sick of waiting. I also waited 30 minutes this morning and then put the phone down again.
I ended up emailing them and i finally got a reply. They said that the flip replacement being broken is my fault, even though it was broken before i put it to use. And the dust on the camera has no impact on the image, even though in my opinion it does because there is a bloody grey dot on all my pictures.
They also said that i will have to pay for the flip replacement cover because its not made by orange, even though it has the orange logo on it.
I really want them to replace the phone because i'm not happy about it at all. Also i am a new customer to orange and personally i wish i hadn't gone with them at all because their customer service is shit and they should make a new customer feel welcome, like O2 for instance.
Well does anyone have any advice for me to win my case against them.
Cheers Harvey

First of all, do you have Orange insurance on your phone?
If you do then tell orange that you phone is broke. (Crashing and keeps on shutting down)
If you dont have insurance then how long have you had the phone, if its less thanb 14 days return it unnder the terms and conditions or orange.
If its older, then take your phone to a se service center, they will look at it and either replace it or send it of for investigation.
Go to you local orange shop and kick of.
Orange have no interest in keeping or looking after there customers at the min.
They have a bad attitiude towards customer care as its been mentioned on here a lot of times.
You get good deals but dont expect the support from the network, which is a shame.
Once was a good network and good customer care, Now you get none of it.
Most of the time they are only after selling you more.
Most of the shops are not interested either. All they say is speak to customer care.
Sorry cant be more help,
All i can say is keep ringing them and kick of, dont shout or loose your wrag, just keep demanding to speak to a supervisor.

Cheers, well i got it online about 6 days ago, so its ok for that. If i go into a local orange store will they give me a new phone because i don't want to waste my time going in there for them to say you got it online so we can't do anything about it. And trust me i could of knocked that bitch out that says "we are very busy bla bla bla" so when i go to the store i am probably going to get stressed but i am determined to get a new phone.

No ifs its online you have to go and ring back online.
The number should be on your receipt.
You can reject the phone under the terms and condtions.
Orange customer care is telling you a load of blah blah blah.
Orange shops will not help you as they didnt give you the phone.
The problem is the Orange shops are sales people and not customer care.
They get commision on selling the phones and thats itm this is the problem and why they have stopped giving the care out.
Regarding the women saying busy blah blah blah, at least you get to have free music for about 1 hour of holding.
Its free and you dont need a mp3 player.
lol
Good luck as you will need it.
But def reject the phone and watch what happens.

The only other number i can give you is 0800 801080. However it says that its chaging to another number, but this as been like that for over a year now. (Better late) and in Oranges case Never
It used to be 14 days returns policy (Your rights are norm 14 days,)
However you said earlier in the post you got it 6 days ago, so your 7th day is tom
There open for another 10 mins
Orange now close at 10pm (no more 24 hour care)
