> k800i - thinking about buying one

What's it like? Can anyone convince me to choose it?
What features does it have, is it equipped with a good camera, can you record calls on it, that sort of stuff?
I don't want to go and spend close to £200 on something I barely know anything about

Well..to start with, the K800 uis a camera phone..a serious one at that. Of course it is not a replacemnt for a dedicated camera but it takes grat pictures. It is equipped with a 3.2 mp camera which should be ample. It is also 3g enabled for making video calls. You can find more info on it on this sire itself in the "MobilePhones" section.
Finally, it all ends up with what you need from your phone? Do you need a good camera? Or is it 3G? It would be a bad idea to spend mney on such a device if one only intends to send texts or make calls.

K800 . . .if NOT, and you are on a limited budget . .. I guess the
K750 will already suffice dude . . . PLUS get the MXE-60 Xenon Flash (optional accessory) for taking images in the night, though the K800's xenon Flash is already BUILT-IN . . . for me, there's NOT much difference between the K750's - 2 MegaPixel camera and with that of the K800's - 3.2 Megapixel. Yeah afaik, it has a call recorder (you can add a shortcut for it and start recording when the call comes in)However, it wont record all calls automatically. It has a speakerphone as well..

I have this phone. A bit large at the beginning, but with couple days you find it OK. I must add, that the screen of k800 is superb - very good resolution for gsm-phone (try web or RSS-news and you understand) and also very good clarity and brightness/contrast.

as a recent ex-moto convert - I have to say it's a stunning piece of
kit. I went to SE via a W810i which was good, but this thing .... pretty
good standby times, excellent camera, good - ish mp3 player, very intuative
UI, and I haven't even tried the 3G side of it yet ! - more phone than I could
have hoped for or wanted - very happy.
The only niggle I have is the keypad itself, for such a "chunky" phone
it's a little low down, making texting a little ticky without dropping
the thing
- you do get used to it though - both my SE's have felt this way.
Oh and getting the battery cover off for the first few times can
be an ordeal !!!!
