Hello guys.I have 2 questions about p990:what does the alarm bug do and what are transitions?
I have the R3A04 fw version and I won't update for a while since things aren't nearly as bad as some of tou stated(6 crashes in a month is not that much,considering that I use web,email,quickword and media player very often).

I have not experienced the alarm bug myself, but I have heard from others who describe it. Apparently, after setting the alarm on the phone and later disabling it, the alarm still tends to go off at the set time. It becomes somewhat of a phantom alarm in that the check is removed from the alarm box, yet it still rings the alarm daily, etc. or whenever it was set for. I think the only solution so far is a master reset or firmware reflash.
As for transitions, they are simply the little animations you see on the phone when tapping certain buttons or scrolling through menus. For example, when you open the menu and the icon sort of zooms in and fades. Also, when scrolling through messages or contact, the selection bar flows down to the next entry rather than just appearing there. The reason some people wish to turn them off is because they tend to slightly slow down interaction with the phone. The latest firmware update makes them work a little faster, which is good.
