Is there some application that provides profiles for volume that can be switched automatically, dependent on connection to a charger?

I'd like the volume to be on maximum whenever the M600i is connected to either the car charger or the data station for charging (because then I'm at home, at work or in the car and want to hear the phone ringing). But as soon as the device is not connected to a cable anymore I'd like to switch it over to silent/vibrating usage (because then I'm on the road in some environment where I do not want to attract attention and want the phone to be quiet).

Of course I could mute/unmute by hand, this is what I do at present, but I often forget to switch and then end up either not hearing calls or distracting other people.

Is there some application that can do this?

Or maybe to define profiles based on time, e.g. weekdays from 6am to 5pm on vibration (I'm on my working place and phone is with me), from 5pm to 7pm ringing sound is on (traveling from work to home) and from 7pm to morning again on silent...

I've never understood why there is no more flexibility with this?!
