Hi,

Just before my screensaver kicks in the backlight turns off briefly, is this normal, can it be solved by a firmware upgrade? (Current R2E006)

I'd really like to go from my selfmade background screen to my selfmade screensaver without 'the brief sudden darkness'.

This sometimes happens to me, but not always. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the ammount of charge left in your battery. It may also have something to do with the file size of your background, but to be totally honest, I don't know why it happens, but it does. Although I don't remember it happening to me for a long time now.

Try some different combinations of background and screensaver to see if it effects how long the light stays on.

No noticable difference between background gif -> small screensaver gif or big animated screensaver gif.

I've also observed this and came to the conclusion that it happens while the screensaver is being read from memory. The larger the screensaver, the longer the period of darkness...

Yep mine does this I have a large screensaver and it sometimes goes black then comes back on , just depends. If the phoine has been off it does it , but if it is one it ususlly doesnt unless I change it

Yep it also happend to me but when my phone is already fully charged the screen saver comes out before the lights turn off. maybe the larger the screensaver size the harder the phone to process it...
