> "Phonebook error" K800i/HCB700
Bookmark topic
Hi all.
I have a K800i and an HCB-700 installed in a Renault Megane. The HCB-700 works fine with a K750i and even some non-SE phones. With the K800i, it will pair properly, but sometimes will not connect when I get in the car, and most of the time using the phonebook synch process results in "phonebook error". The HCB-700 then freezes, and I need to restart it to re-connect the K800i (and then remember not to use the phonebook synch!).
Voice digit dialling seems to work OK.
I have factory-reset the HCB a couple of times. I have also cleaned the K800i's contacts list of any dodgy characters. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be, or has also come across this problem?

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem, and no solution yet. The only thing i have in my mind would be if the phone is branded (mine is). You do not have an option to try it with some other k800? I will try and will let you know as soon as I find another k800...

Have you checked the firmware version of your K800? Maybe the older firmwares have a bug with that accessory... If it is software problem, it may be bug fix released in the newer firmwares. I don't think this is a common problem imo...
