> Software update.games erased?

I preformed a software update (Wotanserver) and made sure to remove my memory stick, containing all the games, before doing anything. However, when the update was finished, I was surprised and upset to find that all my games were gone from the memory stick! How is that possible?

If you had the games installed on the MS, the OS has just forgotten about them being installed (since it needs to know that too). A backup should make things right.
If you mean you lost the game installer files, something is very wrong.

i also had my games on memorystick and erased them. i installed again and the savegame was gone. so it doesnt matter where the games were

By installing again, you overwrite your user data for that application (I.E. savegames). What you need to do is to restore a backup from when the games were installed (and the checkbox for apps on the MS was selected in Backup Manager, at least when talking about P990/M600).

no the games are still in the memory stick you just cant do anything with them, i have the same problem, trying to find out how to sort it out.
