> Some questions about the W850i
Bookmark topic
I just got a W850i as an upgrade for my cherished K750i from O2.
I was really going to leave O2 so the retentions dept had to offer me something I couldn't refuse to make me stay. They did, check out this deal:
600 cross network minutes,
900 text messages,
£25 line rental,
Phone cost £25.
The person who offered me the deal messed up and offered me the phone at a reduced cost, apparently they arn't allowed to do this. However when I decided to take the offer I called back and demanded that I be given the deal as i'd been offered it previously (the phone should have been around £49.99).
Anyhow I have a few niggles with the phone so far and I was wondering if the helpful people on here can be of asistance.
1. Is there a way to make the phone end call by closing the slider?
2. How can I get the album images to show up on the MP3 payer? I have 'Album Art' selected in visualizations, plus I have saved a jpg image of the album in the MP3 folder on the memory stick, but this hasn't worked and I can't find any instructions on how to do it.
3. Is there a way to delete the Greeting MP3 from my phone as it pops up on the MP3 player if I don't select a playlist. When I attempt to delete it normally it says failed, and if I try to move it says 'Cannot be moved, protected file'.
4. Is it possible to make a video call with this phone? As in I can see the person I am calling and they can see me.
The only downer features wise I have with the phone is it doesn't have an auto focus like my old K750i.

1 - I think no.
2 - You need to tag it into the mp3 files via itunes or something else. There are a lot of topics talking about this.
3 - I think no
4 - Yes !

Okay, good luck. Use a Mp3tagger software or iTunes.

I have used itunes to add album pictures but I can't transfer the sonds onto my phone because itunes doesn't seem to recognise it. Should I be able to use it and if so how?
Edit:
Talk about pain in the butt. I gave up with itunes, then tried Windows Media Player. I managed to get the album covers showing up in the player but when I transfered them onto the phone only one of the 4 album covers was showing up. I am now in the process of re-transfering the albums that have the missing cover pictures in the hope it will work.
If not i'll try MP3tagger.

Use Total Commander or Disc2Phone to transfer the files. You don't need to transfer with iTunes. If you want a good tagger use Mp3Tag or Helium Music Manager 2006. :=)

Just tried MP3 Tagger and I selected the option to download tags (including album cover image) from amazon. Then dragged and dropped the files from MP3 tagger straight on my memory stick and it worked a charm. Thanks for your help Creak.

It seems that you've found a solution, but I thought it could be useful to mention ... it also works perfectly when using iTunes. As I guess you will already know, it's very easy to add album art to your songs.
Now, try and add album art to your songs in iTunes and then just copy/paste the song(s) into your MP3-map on your phone/memorystick.
Should work just fine.
