> P990 changing ringing volumes - newbie!
Bookmark topic
Going from Nokia 6310 to SE P990 I have been told that the only ring volumes on the P990 are normal & silent. Surely there must be a way to set up differing ring volumes according to circumstance.
My OLD 6310 has the options of Loud (useful cos my hearing is going), General & Silent. And it is also possible to use the timer so that the temporary setting reverts to the preferred setting at the pre-determined time. None of this is available on the 990 according to my local Orange shop. Shirley this can't be true!
Any help welcome
Alec

I realise that you can change the volume but what I want is to be able to switch the phone to silent and then at a pre-appointed time for it to switch back to loud. Not a problem with a Nokia but one that SE don't seem to want to address. I can't be the only person on the planet that goes into a meeting, switches the phone to silent and forgets to switch it back to loud after the meeting. No problem with Nokia software. It seems so simple that I can't believe that SE don't incorporate it!

Thanks for the reply. I'm pig sick that this simple remedy is not available on SE and even more so now that Symbian Wave have advised me that Magic Profiles is incompatible with UIQ3. Anyone want a P990?
