Ok, now i know that the GD87 uses a thing called "ExEn", it is made by a company called In-fusio. after visiting there website, and searching around for a while, i eventually found this page that said on it: and i quote!
"Compliance to J2ME (ExEn runs Java games)"
Now can anyone confirm this????
Please Let Me know!!!!
Thanks,
B-man

For some unknown reason the GD87 does use ExEn, which is basically someone elses attempt at J2ME. I'm not sure about compatibility, but I wouldnt touch a GX-10 again or a GD-87 as they wont send and recieve via IR. Makes u have to waste money on email and MMS!!!

yeah, i have the vodafone version, but i know for a fact that the GX10 run Java games, i was using one in one of the stores the other day, and downloaded a game, there and then!!!
On another note, i saw the coolest thing today, streaming video on the phone!!!! It was the Nokia 7650(boo, what a big fone!!). It was on display in an exhibation in dublin. all they did was download realplayer for the mobile(a java thing!). there is an internet news service available called Ireland Live News(i think that is it) it was streaming no problem. obiousially low res, but not problem making anthing out, even headlines scrolling accross the bottom of the screen!!!!! I was really cool. Now if i could just get a reply from the company the make the ExEn engine (In-fusio), and find out for sure what sort of Java it will run. I'm not really that bothered, The phone is real good. Clear, easy to use, good sound quality during calls, once i can download games i will be happy.
N.b. the german vodafone (D2 Vodafone) allows users to download games for the GD87! and so does the Uk orange (well for the sagem, it uses the exen engine as well)
And i've been told the service will be available here in ireland very soon, by the end of the month hopefully!!!
thats me for now,
