My k790a is arriving today (hooray!) from sonystyle, and I was wondering what type of software is available to play around with. I've read through some threads and it seems opera mini and torch are some necessities, but i'm sure there has to be more out there.

If anyone know of any type of local weather/forecast software, that would be great.

In 4-5 days i'll be w/o internet access for a few months (though i'm hoping to fix that) so i'm hoping having internet access on my phone will keep me up to date with my favorite websites (neowin, digg, engadget etc) via an RSS feed. I'm pretty sure the phone has one built in, but if a better one is available that would be great too.

Any recommendations/links would be appreciated.

Scott

World mate lite is quite good (but may need subscription). I got the old Palm version. For free weather forecast you can go to wap page such as http://mobile.wunderground.com/

Yeah, after looking around, most stuff is for the symbian OS. I didnt really buy the phone for much more then making calls and pictures. Maybe losing the internet will push me to do a little more with it.

After thinking about it, a decent MSN messenger atlernative might come in handy if one exist.

Also, are there any games to recommend? My old t616 had mini golf which was fun to link up and play with friends during class back in high school. Ahh the good old days..

I was wondering how metal slug mobile was, and maybe sonic. Also some decent racing game might not hurt if anyone knows of any good ones. My gf has already demanded text twist also :S

Also, is the ice-25 case recommended? My t616 has suffered from living in my pocket with my keys, change, and lighter for the past 2 years and is pretty beat up. I'll post some pics when i get my phone today. I'd like to keep this new phone is mint condition as long as possible.
