Can you keep the phone on long enough to do a hard reset? Do you have any third party application software installed on it? If so then try a hard reset to wipe the phone. If that solves the problem then reinstall your third party apps one by one until the problem reappears. Once that happens you contact the vendor of that app and complain that their app is not compatible with the R9 firmware.

I had this once when i installed psiloc crystal arabic but not the original one so i resolved it by reflashing my phone again and bought an original app.but i installed it to phone memory not memory stick and everything goes perfectly..cheers

Well the problem is that I have recently flushed the phone and updated it.

The thing is, it gets as far as the Sony logo the screen goes black and it restarts.

I am baffled I cant get it to do any thing else.

Is their any other way to boot into the phone.

some way from the PC?

i had the same issue, on R7 though. After several hours of constant reboots, it just started working. U could out the MS and see what happens.

I assume that your phone is still covered by warranty. What's stopping you from the taking the phone to the dealer for repairing???

My phone used to do this too. upgrading from R5 to R7 did not help. SO I took it back to the dealer and they kept it for 2 days trying to fix it. eventually they just gave me a new phone.

Now with R9 my phone does restart once in a while. It has done so 3 times since my upgrade each time on an incoming phone call.

This was a bad flash. Erase all SEUS stuff from your PC, reinstall it and reflash. It happened to me and it worked this way.
