does EMAIL TO SMS work? means if i send a mail to (say) 919*****@airtelmail.com from my email id, will it reach as a msg on that airtel number?

i think, the number to which you want to send the sms, should hav to be registered to the opertor,( and might be some activation charges like that!!!)

Mine does not work either. The sms email send and says it delivered such and such time but it did. I've notice this problem from last year. I still try though but its not work. You can use mms to send emails

it used to work initially..any months before...and it still works for many operators in some countries..
but now in india i think it still works for some states..
as the phone email id different for differetnt states
so check it out urself for which state u want
i only know that it do not work in punjab now
