Found a little trick with the new fw (maybe old fw but i never noticed it before)
if you lock your phone it will take a while for the screen to go blank (time specified in settings). This time can be decresed if you follow the following steps...
1.Lock phone as normal
2.press any key - phone will show "to unlock press..." message with screen lit
3.press the key again and the LCD will dim straight away!
not exactly the best trick in the world but i'm sure somebody will use it!
oh, should have said i use a m600

Ok instead of that make the brightness of the screen between 45-75% and you will get a really extr battery life(tested)

I actually never use the backlighting above 20% in strength, thats enough for me here (rarely sunshine here you see). Boosts batterylife a LOT!
