> The 8310 to 8800 Stolen Idea Thread!
Bookmark topic
Following the success of the other experiments im going to start my very own experiment, as time scale is not a factor for me it may take a while but should hopefully reach my end goal very soon.
I bought a faulty 8310 off eBay, it had a damaged keypad. So i bought a keypad and replaced everything apart from the main board and charger connector. Its now on sale here but may go on ebay if not enough money is made!
The phone initially cost £7, the cost of repairs bought the total cost upto £22, with £3.98 on a new keypad/screen and £11 on new original full housing.
I bought the phone from:

A few pics of the "refurb" phone:
Will keep you up to date with the latest repairs and phones!
Edit: Been looking on ebay for the sort of prices i should get and have found a few that have sold for a good price:

EDIT:
NOW ON EBAY:

Great stuff!
It looks as good as new and you should make a bit of profit judging by the links.

Copycat!
Good luck with it, keep us posted! It can have it's problems (I've got a bit of a hiccup with my current D500) but potentially rewarding, I managed to turn a T68i with a faulty microphone into an XDA 2S worth at the time £140+!

Yeah, looks as good as new..... if only i needed another phone! My cost would have been lower but i had to buy the housing which everything is screwed to as it was damaged but the seller refused to pay towards the cost of a new one even though it was only £2 and it wasn't in the item description! Oh well!
@ Sammy_boy, well, the name of the thread is stolen idea! Hope yours goes well as well!
