> how to get ringing tone through earphones?

i have a w810i and the earphones that came with it.
when the earphones are plugged in and someone calls me the phone rings through the speakers. what do i need to do in order for the ringing tone to play through the earphones?
if somebody calls me or sends me message in loud environment i want to hear the tone through the earphones as i don't hear it through the phone speaker.
is it possible to get what i want/

Put the phone onto silent
That way the tone should go through the earphones.
Thats the way it works with my K800i

Set the phone so that the "handsfree" profile is activated when the headset is plugged in. Then customise the profile so that the phone is silent when it is active. Thats what I do.
