Decided to start a war between XBOX360 fans and PS3 fans. Lets see where this goes.
Didn't include Nintendo Wii as thats in a class of its own. Cheaper than both and not meant for serious gaming.

Let me start by saying, PS3 fans don't even have their consoles yet (unless you're in the US). Ha.

it all boils to down to what you want.

do you want a proper games console or a pc that is able to play games?

if you want a proper games console you buy a PS if you want a pc you buy an xbox.

or if your like me.. i had both an xbox and PS2 and no doubt i'll have both 360 and PS3..

dont know why on the xbox front though.. i despise MS..

In terms of power I would say the PS3. In terms of games I woul say Xbox 360 but for value I would go with the Wii.
The Wii is about £180 and comes with games and memory which on other consoles you have to pay extra for.

You get what you want, I'll get what I want...

Personally I'm getting a PlayStation 3 mid to late this year so to get a clean non-buggy console (as all consoles upon release usually do whoever the company). Also I chose to get one at this time due to the giants of games coming out that I want, me most looking forward to Final Fantasy XIII and Killzone 2.

I watched something on GamerTv on Bravo i think it was where they were comparing the 360 and the PS3 and the general concencus (sp) was that there pretty equally matched, they said that with games that were shared on each platform like COD3 and Tony Hawks Project 8 they were roughly the same with maybe the PS3 being a bit better in one area but the 360 in another. Where they said they will come into there own is with there exclusive titles such as Gears of War for the 360 and whatever comes out exclusively for the PS3.

When it comes to the Wii i for one could'nt have it as my ONLY console, i'd have to have a 360 or a PS3 with it as although it provides a unique gameplay experiance it dont offer the same as either a PS3 or a 360.
