I discovered just last night that when viewing the SMS inbox (with preview enabled) if i pressed the star key on any highlighted entry, it changed the message to unread......!

I'm using the R7 voda firmware so it's likely its been fixed with recently released R9. However, I haven't come across a similar issue off the forum yet so is anyone able to confirm?

Regards

I get the same with the R9 firmware, and pressing it again, the message is marked as read. Why do you call this an issue? I think it's meant to be this way... It's a nifty feature. (You can change "read status" in the menu too.)

@antichrist: on my P990 it works with the numpad * in FC mode and alt+x in FO mode, so I guess it'd be alt+x for you then.

So, we're saying its a known feature as opposed to a bug?

If that's the case, then i'm just curious who would have use of it? I'd expect to find it in a full-blown messaging app (ala Outlook, Notes etc) but not something on a personal device like a mobile.

Thanks,

The p990 is supposed to be a full-blown messaging app. If it was just a phone, why would it have uiq3 and all the bugs?
