Hi there,

I have been following a few of the threads on here as I have the K800i will not power on and blinking IR port problem.

I have connected the handset to the Kulan-Kendi client and tried to Flash using the EROM update selceted only.

I am receiving the following:

Hold 2 and 5 buttons together and plug DCU60 USB cable.
Phone Connected...
Detected: DB2020: K610,K790,K800,W850,V630,W710i(c),Z710i(c),Z610 Series
Flash ID: 0x897E - Supported
Error: EROM CT FL Not Accepted!

What's going wrong?

Please advise!

Did your K800 had R1GB001 when the EROM died?
If yes, then CID51 phones are probably not supported yet...
If no, I don't know what could be wrong...

OK!

Have downloaded the wotan client and purchased some credits.

My phone connects, but only if I hold down keys 2+5 and it goes thru the following:

Phone found
DB2020 detected
FC ID: 89 7E
Connecting to server
Connection OK
Sending Login
Login OK
EROM: Starting upgrade
EROM: Upgrading header failed
FAILED
=====

any ideas/suggestions?

Your wisdom would be much appreciated

I got exactly the same EROM upgrade failure when trying Wotan some days ago. Wotan didn't even reply. My f/w at that time was already R1GB updated via SEUS.

OK, so I'm the proud owner of a Sony Ericsson K800i 'brick'

Mike2: Yes it was at R1GB001 as I had successfully downloaded latest sw using SEUS and I checked. Does this mean that it's already at CID51?

Anyone tell me what the FC ID: 89 7E is???

Yes your EROM CID is 51. Currently no loader exist for CID51. You have to bring your phone back to authorised SE service centre!

For anyone who is having the same probs here and HAS upgraded to CID51/R1GB001 using SEUS: I have not been able to upgrade the EROM using KKClient or Wotan, despite being told it was possible using wotans latest flash.

Heres what the nice guy at Wotan said:

this error is one of 2 things, either you have an unsupported certificate in your phone, or there is a problem with the security zone, we cannot help at this time

If I'm just going over stuff you already know I apologise, just thought it might be of interest?
