Was chatting to someone at Voda last week

Apparently new data packages are coming in mid Feb, starting at £10 (although she couldnt tell me how much data that gave you!)

About fcuking time.. I'm spending a fortune on data right now!

Hi all,
I remember this rumour some months ago and it failed to appear it will be interesting to see if it materialises this time. But to be honest i am more than happy with my Web N Walk T-Mobile tariff and service and Voda's signal strength where i am is C*** so only use it for the voice minutes that enabled me to get my N93 cheap.

I have heard nothing about new data price plans. Best price plan at the moment is 500 mins and 1000 texts/51mb of data (or a mix of them both) for £35 a month. Otherwise business price plans because of the texts can be used for data.

I use a vodafone data card for my laptop (via a business account). I get unlimited data usage for £45 a month. It says it's unlimited but this is within some fair use boundary... however, I downloaded about 10gb last month with it and they didn't say anything! This definitely represents the best value on the market.

Also, Orange have launched unlimited evening and weekend data usage for £5 a month which seems very reasonable.

well with the new data plans there is a fair ussage, but you don't get charged when you download more, lets say 10 gigs. But vodafone has the rights to bill you or cut your connection if it is not fair use anymore, however what is "fair use" is very flexible

I just can't wait till our new staff price plan comes out at the end of January.

Unlimted anytime, anynetwork minutes and unlimted texts and 100mb of data for £25 a month

Going to bring my bills down so much. Can finally have email set to check every few minutes without worrying about the price and actually use my P990 as a web browser a lot more

after many years (about 7) with vodafone the only reason I moved away was their ludicrous data charges, and since most of what I do is data, t-mobile web'n'walk has been a breeze.

even if they bring out something somparable now I probably wouldn't move back

Yeah Vodafone has really messed up not reducing data costs, but I guess we make a lot more money off businesses etc that just have to get on the net on their phone. Web and walk is attractive but I just hate T-Mobile too much...
