Can anyone help with an aspect ratio problem converting mpegs to 3gp using Super?

The sources are DVB mpeg2s, either 16:9 or 4:3.

When I drag them into Super it selects 176:144 and 11:9 by default, and the result plays fine on the phone although the aspect ratio is wrong.

I assumed that to get the aspect ratio right I would need to set Scale Size to 220:176 (as that's the phone display size) and either 16:9 or 4:3 depending on the source, and that Super would add letterboxing or sidebars accordingly.

However, although the 3gps created are fine when played on the PC in media player classic, they don't work on the phone; audio is fine but if I choose the mpeg4 codec I get audio and just a brownish purple square for video, while if I choose xvid I just get audio and no video at all (not that surprised but worth a go I guess!)

So does anyone know how I can get my vids converted correctly at the correct aspect ratio?
