> small tip about restarting UIQ3 device
Bookmark topic
this info from SE website so for everyone that said that he hasn't restart his phone for 5 days or 10 or...etc.
it's wrong as SE claims that UIQ3 devices are not like the ordinary PCs and should be restarted at least once a day...
so i think (i'm doing this actually)try to restart your phone when your going to charg it.
i'v downloaded the R4A ORG the day after it's released and had only 2 times a restart for improoving the performance..

yes, I was curious about that too as I probably start my M600 once a week max, and its as stable as I could wish for!

Yes, they're not like ordinary PCs, the software is not as stable. That is the reason for the comment on the SE site, noting to do with the fundamental design. Just because someone wrote it on a website doesn't make it true...
My p990 goes between being stable for days at a time, and needing to be restarted several times an hour. Re-booting every day isn't going to make a lot of difference, it will just hide some of the unreliability. This comment on the SE site has been there for at least 2 months anyway.

Hi all,
I thought this was mentioned on the P990 trouble shooting guide on the SE website some months ago now. As i remember I couldn't believe they had actually suggested it as a remedy for people experiencing problems. I really thought they would of removed it by now as the Firmware has improved since then.

I think its just greed with SE now, when Sony & Ericsson teamed up there phones were sh*t hot now they are just like the rest selling cheap unfinished Chinese crap and posting on there website how the end user has to deal with the problems, how and why do they get away with it. They advertise all these wonderful phones that can do this that and the other, they should be made to give a six month trial & if the end user is not happy with the product they should take back there inferior goods and give a full refund as I would have certainly taken mine back & switched to another brand

@nokevin & all
They get away with it as you put is because too many folk are prepared to buy their phones and accept the bugs will be fixed in time. This is a point I have made on various occasions and be flamed for and it's not just SE either. If people stopped accepting the current status quo and actually returned these devices and didn't accept anything less than they expected all the manafacterers would have to get their acts together or go bust but until such time as people stop letting get away with it it is never going to change and mores the pity. The best thing about Ericsson phones was there reliability and build quality and was what made Ericsson great IMO.
