As most of us all own Wi-Fi laptop's/PSPS and Enabled Phones.

I was just curious how many people actually connect to free connections, ones that aren't secure to surf the net?

After Scanning on my PSP im picking up 2 Connections that aren't secure but the signal strength is pretty poor unless you get closer...

I think this is better than Bluetooth jacking as your getting something better outta it "FREE INTERNET"

So c'mon guys who has had fun browsing the net for free in someones else exspense?

Let me just say ive just bought my own router btw and so i'll be able to surf the PSP rather that sitting cold at this darm PC for hours on end

Heh... Strange that you should mention that now, miss uk. Over here in Singapore, 2 people were arrested in 2 unrelated incidents involving the unauthorised use of wireless networks. One of them apparently sent out a terror hoax using an unsecured network, while the other was arrested simply for using another person's network to surf. I'm pretty sure a lot of people are doing the latter, but he was just unlucky I guess.

Anyway, have fun surfing, but just make sure it doesn't break any laws over there yeah? It's not worth the trouble.

You need to set up a WEP key, i cant quite remember how but the big M helped me out, also once you put the key in you don't have to reenter it every time, same with xbox, psp and any wifi phone.

Back on topic, yes i do use free internet sometimes when im out and about but i think its more of a 'ooo is there free net' as opposed to me needing it.
