It's like this, I've bought a TravelPac 4-port USB-hub sometime ago and it came with a Y-splitter USB cable that allowed the USB-hub to draw power from 2 USB-ports instead of connecting it to 1 USB-port and then drawing additional power using an AC-adaptor. What I'm curious about is, is this Y-splitter cable that came with it compatible with any ordinary USB-hub, or can I only use it with the TravelPac one? I'm asking this because I think it's a really useful cable to have, if I can use it with any USB-hub in future. My main concern is actually whether the splitter will allow my other USB-hubs to draw twice as much power. Thanks in advance for any useful advice.
