just wanna ask you if there is a chance that my friend's k800 will still power up or is there a major damage.. coz he take a dip on the swimming pool with this k800 with him and he forgot that it is with him...i told him to remove the battery and not to power it up until 24 hours or until your sure that everything inside is dry but that is just my theory..any1 has idea??

some suggest to use a hair dryer but not with constant heat, just gently waving the dryer past the open parts of the phone like where the sim card goes etc. this will dry the phone quicker without causing heat damage and may help things
I wonder when SE will make a waterproof phone?

have you heard of any1 that their phone survived from that situation ..it was funny as hell 1st time i saw it you can see the water from the screen as if it was an aquarium then he was panicing ...oh and we pu it in front of fasn heater with moderate heat.. and now all the water is gonein front of the screen..it still has warranty but i told him to wait and wait for it to dry up then let the service center clean it up...coz if any1 has survived ill tell him to do that otherwise he has to pay coz he misused his phone

warranty won't do any good for water damage unfortunately
my wife once dropped a phone into a bucket of water and doing what I said it lasted about 3 months. fortunately I took insurance for her phone and they replaced it

hehehehe i think thats the best thing to do..by the way if he brings it to a service center can they fix the phone and it will have its normal life span again instead of 3 months then its dead

well yeah and maybe they can catch him coz here in oiur place all phones and sim card are registered to the person..not lke in other countries..
