Hey guys, I'm having problems with a couple of issues from the Sony Ericsson w810i, maybe somebody can give me a hand:
1. I once saw by chance that the phone was in standby but it had a nice big digital clock on the screen (it was the only visible thing right then). However, it doesn't show up anymore, and I can't seem to find the option turn this on. How do I do it?
2. When the phone is in silent mode (as I usually have it because I don't like to be disturbed with ringing tones, I just want to notice calls when it vibrates), if I activate an alarm to wake me up in the morning, it sounds so low it's almost inaudible. It sounds otherwise loud if silent mode is off. How can I override this?
Thanks,
Hugo

@Worthing: hi and welcome to esato.
1- you can only see that clock while the phone is in stand-by mode and you press the volume keys.
2- maybe Increasing Ring function is enabled. try to disable it by going to settings and then Sounds & Alerts
hope this helps.

1. Thats not a bug, the w810 doesnt have sleep mode clock like in the k750, i realsied SE has discontinued manufacturing their new models with sleep mode clock, (except when you press the volume button), its a shame really, i liked the clock
2. I have no idea, the volume remains same for me with silent mode on or off

Thanks guys,
1. obviously Tranced is right, when in standby mode, press on the play/pause button and you will see the clock for a short while. Guess both of us get help
2. Mod, so you say your alarm sounds good even when in silent mode? But how good? Like on the top of the phone's loudness level? Mine doesn't, the alarm sounds at like half the maximum level o rmaybe less, so it's weird. Which profile are you using? Maybe this is only a default setting on one or more profiles...
Thanks,
Hugo

Aaaah, that is something I'll have to try. Might have been that I was a bit impatient and didn't listen to more than 10 seconds of my alarm
Thanks for the tip, I'll let you know if it works.

You can also access the clock in standby by pressing the orange 'Walkman' key - the clock shows then disappears after 5 seconds or so.

If you press the Walkman key in standby mode the Walkman feature does not activate, it just displays the clock. To activate Walkman from standby you need to press any other key to 'wake' the phone first, then press Walkman.
