HI i know this is the wrong place to post this but i wasn't sure where i was supposed to post it.

I have a SE k750i and i always use the vibration on it to receive texts and phone calls but i receive a message today and it vibrated weirdly and then the vibration hasn't worked since about 5:00pm today and it is driving me mad. I phoned SE but they said that i should download the software updates or if that doesn't work i should send it to them but i would rather not do that, can anyone help????

I seen a post before about this on a different phone and they said it worked a day later but i would rather not wait that long to find an answer

Someone please help

Just check that the vibration motor is working by going to the service menu, to get there enter this: >*. Ensure that you enter the stars as well. The go into "service tests" and go down to "vibrator". Select it then press any key on the keypad to run the vibrator motor. If it doesn't work, it may be that the motor has disconnected, burn't out etc.
I don't know whether it may be caused by software though.

i think that means your motor has burned out etc so take it to ur local service centre or to the shop you bought it from, may be under warranty if you havent debranded, opened casing etc

It definately will work as my T610 even does it. Here are the instructions in a simpler form:
1. Go into the standby screen.
2. Push the joystick to the right, press *, joystick left, joystick left, *, joystick left, *.

Try not to make large time gaps between pushing the keys.
Hope that helps.

The vibra motor could just have lost it's contact with the phone's mainboard. It has a couple of brass-type prong contacts that protrude and connect with two corresponding connectors on the phone's mainboard. These can become flattened over time, I've fixed many a vibrate motor by simply taking the phone apart and carefully bending those prongs back up again and cleaning them and the mainboard connector with Isopropyl Alcohol (I use medical swabs).

That I'd say if most likely the problem with your vibrate if it doesn't work in the service menu

I have tried the test but still is not working when i am pressing the buttons

@Sammy_Boy i was thinking of opening it up myself but i am not sure what i need to do or what i am looking for.

Also when i was getting annoyed with it i reset it and all my contacts got deleted, man this is annoying
