> Sound Card Question
Bookmark topic
hi everyone,
Im upgrading my sound card from a creative SB Live crappy one to a mid range Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Music. I have got Logitech Z-5500's hooked up to it and i was wondering whether the new sound card would improve the bass quality?
thanks peeps

of course it will matey.......
otherwise why buy a more expensive up-to-date one
i have a audigy 2 card (fairly old now) but that was a upgrade from teh basic soundblaster live cards and there definatley was a difference...... you have some nice speakers too so id be shocked if you didnt hear a difference...
**ment to add, it makes a difference how you connect it all up too mind you...... buy good cable dude....
its like anyone who owns a hifi (seperates) and uses teh bog standard inter connects the seperates come with will not have teh same quality as someone who owns the same setup with say £30+ interconnects.....
do you know what i mean mate? theres no point making one part of your setup substantially better than others... ***

but remember one thing matey.... bass is one of teh first thngs to be sacrifised within mp3's...... you'll notice a better difference if youre using either wav files or cd's.......
mp3's = bad quality (and it is bad once youve got a decent setup as you'll hear every crackle)....

ok its not that bad with mp3's....... i can certainly notice a huge difference but its not enough to make me not use mp3's..... i use them to basically choice which music i like... if i like something that much id buy it on cd
anyway mate, enough of me raving on.... im sure you'll be happy with your change
