hi there..I've been waiting for the release of the P990i since it was announced over a year ago. it's feature i was most looking forward to use (and show off using) was the WIFI. No problems as far as wifi goes, but the web browser! ohh man!! drives me insane! before the recent update, it'd crash quite often (as mentioned in other posts). but still gives problems in the newest FW. I only need to view a website in it's original format (without fitting to screen) in landscape mode and maybe i might be able to browse to one more page before it crashes. How did they miss this obvious flaw when releasing the new FW dont they test the software when they release it?
I'm posting since i haven't noticed others with this problem. All other bugs that remain i can live with (like autofocus bug i found if you cover the lens with your hand and let it autofocus it focuses ok most of the times) but the web browsing is very irritating since it's rendering the app unusable. when it pi$$es me off too much i'll switch to the opera mini browser. It is stable but can't go landscape and hasn't got the option to disable squashing the website to the screen's width.. i don't mind scrolling as long as the page is in it's original format..
sure the opera browser that comes with the phone has all those nice features..multi-tabbed browsing.. landscape view.. but it seems the phone isn't able to support most features (for now?)
honestly considering looking elsewhere for a wifi capable phone

One thing you should definitely do is increase cache size to large in the Web settings. It REALLY helps a lot.
I have no idea why the default is not set to "large" when all web pages nowadays are filled to the brim.
