OK -- To start out I have googled -- search this forum -- read all the docs on SE's website, and still can't get the SEUS to work. I have a w950i, and I get to the point where it is detecting -- it does that for about one min. then just goes back to the start or exit screen. What I'm I missing here.

Or is there anyway to do the firmware update without using SEUS?

Thanks for any help that you gurus have

Thanks for your reply -- I'll have to check into that. -- But it would be better to be able to do it from home.

Thats right, but seus is crazy sometimes, so if it is, se service is faster and u save time. Where are u from?

You probably have not installed the usb flash driver. I had the same problem while trying to update an M600i until I installed the driver. To do this, just ensure you have the phone cd in the drive when u start SEUS and it will install automatically.

You're not the only one... This very same thing is happening to lots of folks (including me). I've tried everything I can think of and it still doesn't work. However, other phones (such as my W800, K750, etc.) update just fine.

Looks like either SE has a problem with their SEUS app, or else there's some common app, setting, etc. that we all have that's causing the problem.

Another fellow on this forum said that SE told him to do a hard reset and try it again, but doing that still didn't fix the problem for him. Maybe we need to try a hard reset as well as a reformat of the internal media memory (to clear off any program or setting that may be causing a conflict).

All I can say is that SE has been doing this stuff long enough now that these types of silly things shouldn't be happening (especially with such an expensive device).

Oy!

I tried a master reset -- re-installed update service x10 -- still nothing -- installing on two different computers -- haven't tried formatting the internal drive yet

just wait for a moment. it should go on with the update.
i experienced that too and i was just sitting and looking at that window and thinking what to do next and i sat for so long without doing anything until it continued with the update
