On Thursday night a celebration of 12 years of The Link saw 400 current and former employees converge on the Riverbank Park Plaza ballroom.
The crowd was there to officially see off one of the UK's biggest forces in mobile retail. A video recalled 10 years of events, conferences and the highs that The Link and its staff experienced.
In an emotional speech MD Nick Wood thanked staff for their efforts and The Link's successes; and for their perseverance, particularly during the sale of the business.
His speech was met with a standing ovation, as staff, many now working for 3, Carphone, Orange and O2 met under the same roof for perhaps the final time.
The Link's retail stores will officially cease trading from 31 January, with the business transferring online to
www.thelink.com

i never got invited to no party
maybe its because as soon as the take over bid was annouced to us i left and now work for dixons tax free? lol
