Don't remember seeing this on the forum – but may have missed it. If so, sorry.
I have an Orange branded 990i and am trying to mount it on the desktop. However, under USB connections, only 'allow usb charging' is highlighted; the rest have crudely blanked out and I can't even scroll over them.
Is there any other way to allow USB File Transfer?
Thanks!

I, like you am blessed with an Orange flavour P990.
Although, the greyed out options have now gone from my screen...
What you need to do is, above the option for 'Allow USB Charging' there is the 'USB Functionality' tab. Click on the drop down arrow to the right hand side of this and change from Phone Mode, to File Transfer Mode...
Hope this helps you a little...

once the phone is plugged in, the type of USB connection cannot be changed anymore. U need to unplug it and the change the USB settings. This is true for the "old" or branded firmware, as in R9 this can be done on the fly.

And if anyone is interested, I have mounted my 990i on my Mac using this software. works really well, and great for tomtom! Althoughh it says M600, it works for us, too!
