I know in theory this is old news and has been addressed before.

I also know that in theory this package is only available to premier & panther customers. Also, you had to sign up before 1st Sept 2006.

Well... I won the CS lottery today. I got through to an exceptionally helpful girl in data support, who technically thought she wasn't allowed to add bundles but she tried it for me anyway and has now added this to my contact.

It took a while for her to find the OWU bundle as it has expired, but the system allowed her to do it anyway. She doesn't have the details of the bundle to hand as again they have been taken off the system.

If you're not familiar with this bundle, it is exactly the same as the Orange World 75 which costs 75 quid a month.

To sum up, I no longer am on a high end account, I 'upgraded' in November to a P990 on Dolphin 35. It's way past the 1st Sept 2006. And I have as of today got unlimited data with Orange for 8 quid a month. Woo Hoo. I'm nearly so happy with Orange that I can forgive them for dragging their feet with the release of the latest P990 FW.

Just shows that they can do it when they try the little darlings....

There are loads of people on it who got on it before 1st of September... It's like anything with Orange.... once you are on it, you are on it until YOU decide to change. They can't technically make you.... (I think). That's why some of my mates are still paying 13 quid a month for shit loads of off peak minutes. They just keep ticking along....

Fingers crossed it doesn't bite me in the arse though... Not setting up Push email until I know for sure

Technically they can make it time limited and then after a certain period of time terminate it.

Trust me I know Orange.

Hope it works out for you.

From my experience you're right about it staying on your account. However, from experience don't mention it next time you speak to Orange CS. If they know you shouldn't have it they'll take it off without a second thought. Happened to me with a Blackberry bundle. Keep quiet and you should be cool!

Much more importantly OTIS and other CS softwares that Orange use, automatically detect this when you come to upgrade.

So when you go to upgrade next, if you still have the bundle, then CSS kicks up an error, and says the new talkplan you wish to add is not compatible with the old GPRS bundle and you must remove the bundle, therefore you are either tied to the same terms with 10% LRD or you are gonna lose it in 18 months when you change talkplan.

PS. Orange Talkplans change in March/April so Unltd Bundles will cease. Just a heads up.
