A new Sony Ericsson owner !! Just found this website, and already love it. I suppose this questions has been answered before, but if I were to unbrand and upgrade to the latest firmware, does my phone give me all the features and options that the OEM phone would have, before it is bastardised by the phone companies ? Or does the firmware only give "new" features for which the latest version was intended for, without the options for which earlier firmwares were released ? Thanks in advance for your help !!

firmware upgrades are for removing any bugs that existed in the previous firmwares.......
usually manufacturers refrain from providing any new features......rather they improve existing ones.....
