Hi everyone, I'm new here and i am a newbie when it comes to customizing my phone.

I want to make a theme for my phone, and want to change everything in the phone including ALL icons (not just the desktop menu icons), possiblily font and some other things.

I've been reading around for quite some time now. But every new thread I read brings more questions than answers. I downloaded SE's Theme Creator. It looked pretty straight forward but I know it cannot do the things I want to do.

My phone: z610i
when I go to the software version menu, it tells me my current software is
CXC1250549
R1EJ001
060924
Sony Ericsson

Can someone please answer these questions?

*What is the general purpose of flashing your phone's firmware? My phone is not locked to any network. So do i need to flash my firmware in order to change the look of my phone (drastically)? What are the advantages and disadvantages of flashing the firmware?

*What does the CDI number mean? I tried to use the Davinci Flasher to find out my phone's CDI number. But I am having trouble installing the EPIUSB driver.

*Many ppl suggested using FAR manager (and a plugin) to change the desktop icons of other se phones. is my z610 compatible with FAR manager? If it is, can someone please guide me through it? I tried the How to guides over at SE-NSE already, they didnt work for me.

*If FAR manager is not compatible with my phone, are there any ways to go about customizing my phone? If so, please explain in detail........I'm so sorri>
*I want to do more than just changing the desktop icons. Are the following icons (ones I circled in red) customizable?

*What is a DCU-60 cable? I have a cable that connects to the PC from the bottom (two) slots of my phone. Is that the DCU-60 cable?

I've got so many other questions, but this is all I can think of for now. I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. I couldn't find anywhere else to post it>
Please help me

Try phoneXS as long as yours is still CID49 then it is possible.
